A patch test is required to be performed at least 24 hours before each appointment. Without one, I'm unable to go ahead with the treatment.
You are welcome to pop in and have me perform the test on you, which literally takes seconds, or I can post one out to you with full instructions.
It is a very simple test and can either be done by yourself, or with someone to help you.
It is incredibly rare to have any reaction at all to the pigments as they are mostly organic in compound, but it is still possible - hence the need for a test.
You will be patch tested for all the products that will be used on and in your skin; the pigments and the lidocaine (numbing gel/cream).
Consultations are done on the day of the procedure before any work goes ahead. We will talk through your options and discuss what will work best for your skin and your desired outcome.
During the consultation we will chat through what outcome you would like to achieve, the best technique to achieve this based on your skin. I will do the pre-draw so you can see the new shape we will be working from, then discuss pigment colour.
Separate consultations are available upon request and are charged at £50 which will go towards the cost of the treatment booked.
Separate consults are not necessary to have and are always done before all treatments go ahead, but they can be arranged if you would like to to go away and think about it some more before booking.
CLIENTS WHO SUFFER FROM COLD SORES (HERPES):
If you suffer from cold sores, or have ever had a cold sore, it is VERY important you let me know before booking. Because of the trauma to the lips from the service, you are almost certain to break out in cold sores, but, this can be prevented with a course of Aciclovir tablets at least 5 days before and 5 days after the procedure.
There is no guarantee you will not have a breakout if you take the tablets, but if you do, it will be very minor and will not interfere with the healing process.
Failure to disclose this information is done so at your own risk and a heavy outbreak will result in very poor, uneven and patchy healing and outcome.
